Nata a Seoul nel 1989. Vive e lavora a Monaco.
Ha iniziato i suoi studi con un Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics all’Università Nazionale di Seoul in Corea del Sud, diplomandosi nel 2011, prima di trasferirsi a Londra dove ha conseguito il Master of Arts in Ceramics and Glass al Royal College of Art nel 2016. Ha lavorato come Assistente Curatore alla 6a Biennale Internazionale di Ceramica di Gyeonggi in Corea del Sud nel 2011 e ha continuato ad acquisire esperienza professionale durante i suoi studi a Londra, insegnando nel dipartimento di ceramica a Central Saint Martins nel 2016 e collaborando con il reparto sviluppo tessuti di CÉLINE, Londra. Nel 2017, è stata un artista in residenza al Künstlerhaus di Neumünster, in Germania. Le ceramiche di Lee spingono i confini del mezzo, esplorando colori vibranti e smalti, nonché forme e trame insolite e altamente qualificate. Il suo approccio è concettuale e sperimentale, come illustrato dalla serie Imaginary Drinks: Memory of the Taste (2016), che utilizza astrazioni di colori e forme intensamente dettagliate per catturare i ricordi dell’artista delle esperienze d’infanzia del gusto. La pratica di Lee si snoda tra arte, artigianato e design e quindi, forse non sorprendentemente, le sue ceramiche sono state esposte in gallerie d’arte e musei, oltre che in contesti di design, come il London Design Festival 2016, la Milano Design Week 2017 e numerosi mostre con Swing Design Gallery. Il suo lavoro è stato acquistato dal museo di arte contemporanea KODE a Bergen, in Norvegia nel 2017, e dalla collezione di Künstlerhaus Stadttöpferei Neumünster in Germania. Inoltre, Lee ha collaborato alle presentazioni con Zetter Hotel a Londra e Airbnb durante il Salone del Mobile di Milano, tra gli altri.
